That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Kendrick dropped an album to cap off his historic 2024. Titled GNX, it has 12 songs for a total of 44 minutes. I’m going to listen to it and then give you my thoughts.
wacced out murals-8.9
Kendrick starts off strong with a really good song, it gives the tone of the album really well, with a good beat and an even better flow.
squabble up-6.7
While still good, it doesn’t compare to the other ones on this album, and falls short of what the intro promised when it was all over social media
luther (featuring SZA)-9.4
Easily one of my favorite songs on here, the instrumental blends with the lyrics so well and the SZA feature is the cherry on top
man at the garden- 6.4
While still good, not one of my personal favorites, though I understand the appeal
hey now (featuring dody6)- 7.6
This is one I didn’t like too much on my first listen, but it grew on me since then, and I like it now. The feature really adds a lot to this song, and gives it that extra bump in my opinion.
reincarnated- 7.8
He really doesn’t miss on this album, he just has songs that aren’t as good as the great ones
tv off-7.5
It’s probably the most famous song right now from it, but aside from the viral part, it’s still a very good song
dodger blue- 8.6
Also a very good one, the beats he’s using fit his style really well
peekabo (ft. azchike)-8.6
I like the verses on this one, but the chorus isn’t really my favorite, he just repeats the same phrase over and over
heart pt. 6-8.9
Any Kendrick song where he sings is automatically up there for me, and this is a great one
GNX- 6.3
It’s good, it’s just not my favorite. I’m not in love with the choppy type of beat, but it’s still good
gloria (with SZA)-8.0
The last track in the album leaves with a good one, as this one is another slow hit.
Overall this is one of his better albums, and I’m excited to see what future projects he has coming up.
