Christmas Tree Lane is an event in the Louisville Waterfront Park. Here, you can buy Christmas Trees, wreaths, and other seasonal items. It opened on Friday, November 21, and closes once they have nothing available to sell.

Lights Under Louisville

Located right beneath our feet in the Louisville Caverns, Lights Under Louisville is a yearly light display. Show dates run from December 14 to January 3. Hours on opening day are 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. while on normal days they are from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. This excludes Christmas Day which is 5:30 P.M. to 10:oo P.M. and the Christmas Express hours which are 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. There are different packages for different vehicles on their website, and you can book your experience on their website as well.

The Brown Forman Nutcracker

The Louisville ballet performs Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker" with the Louisville orchestra every year in the Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center. It runs from December 12 to 22 and runs about an hour and 45 minutes. It also includes a 20 minute intermission. Go to their website to purchase tickets, showtimes, and for more information.

Fête de Noël

Translated from French as the “Festival of Christmas”, Louisville has another place to celebrate Christmas. Located in Paristown, Kentucky, there is an outdoor skating rink, photo ops with Santa, the Brent Street Holiday Market, trackless train rides, and other festive activities. It lasts for six weeks, starting Sunday, November 30, and continuing to Wednesday, December 24. Hours are 12:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., and is located close to Old Forester's Paristown Hall.
