The Games and Claims page in The Bagpiper was removed for our February issue, but that will not stop us from continuing it online! Every day is a holiday, read below to see what the next few Fridays’ national holidays are.
February 13 – Galentine’s Day

February is the month of love. Not just love between partners, but also between friends. While Valentine’s Day is normally celebrated with a partner or a date, the day before is dedicated to a girl’s day! Galentine’s Day is the time to get together with your girls and celebrate with cute decorations and sparkling non-alcoholic champagne.
February 20 – National Comfy Day

PJ pants, sweats, slippers, and a comfy blanket? What more could someone want? This day is all about snuggling up in cozy clothes without a worry in the world. Be a mess, eat comfort food, and be as lazy as pleased! Everyone deserves to be comfy on this national holiday.
February 27 – International Polar Bear Day

Polar bears are getting closer and closer to becoming an endangered species, according to Polar Bears International. This holiday is to spread awareness on the issue of polar bear vulnerability and what ways we can help reduce our carbon footprint. Climate change is a major threat to polar bears and their environment, and with the help of humans, it can still change. This holiday is important for reminding ourselves what the risk is and what humanity can do to help reduce the effects of climate change.
Fun fact: The Arctic is huge, and polar bears love to hunt and explore. Thankfully, because of their amazing stamina, webbed paws, and streamlined body, they can swim for hundreds of miles; up to 10 days of exploring.
